ABOUT

Northside Riding Club (NRC) is one of the oldest Equestrian Clubs in the Sydney Metropolitan Region. It caters for riders who own or lease their own horses - from beginners right through to advanced levels. Our home grounds are located at the beautiful Princess Anne Arena within the St Ives Showground. These grounds are licensed from Ku-ring-gai Council.

Northside Riding Club holds around 70 events every year across all disciplines including showjumping, eventing, dressage, hacking and horsemanship, attracting many hundreds of competitors.  We also provide training days, clinics and social days, catering for all levels of riders.

We have over 300 members including riders of all ages, from teenagers to those in their seventies. Riders come from all over Sydney and beyond to participate in the wide range of horse riding activities on offer.

Spectators are very welcome. Entry is free

Annual Awards and Trophies

The NRC trophies are perpetual and require collection from last year’s awardees in time to get engraving done before the awards night.

  • A selection of awards will be given at the Championships with the remainder at the Awards night.  This is at the discretion of the phasehead, and the intention is to reduce the amount we give out at the awards night to keep things shorter.

  • If awards are to be given at the Championships we need to organise collection and engraving of those awards well in advance of Nov Champs.

  • Each perpetual is presented with a small take-home trophy, which has the corresponding engraving on it.

  • Non-perpetual trophies (these are specified below) awardees are presented with the small take-home trophy with the corresponding engraving on it.

  • In Appreciation and Service awards are non - perpetual.  The number of these being awarded varies so check with the phase heads.

  • Dressage may change some of their criteria for 2014 please check well in advance of next years awards so the information can be altered accordingly.

  • SJ changed some of their Criteria in 2013.  We have Archive information on what the previous years’ criteria used to be.

  • Hacking only gave out Service and In appreciation Awards in 2013, 2014 & 2015.

  • No WEQ in 2014/2015.
